Job summary

California Closets in Nashville is seeking a Technical Project Coordinator to serve as the technical link between Project Management, Engineering/Design, and the shop floor. This office-based role translates project information from ClosetCAD into production-ready programs for CNC machinery and other equipment.

The Technical Project Coordinator ensures that jobs are properly programmed and documented before production, serving as the primary technical resource for shop personnel on drilling,

Qualifications

• CNC machining experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read drawings, specs and project information.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and CNC programming.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate jobs for CNC machines and shop production.
• Program jobs using Cut Rite, woodWOP, AutoCAD, and other software.
• Create CNC programs and production documents based on project needs.
• Develop and maintain shop paperwork, job documentation, and production instructions.
• Review project information to ensure proper preparation before entering production.
• Serve as primary technical contact for shop personnel on drilling, machining, and programming.
• Troubleshoot technical questions arising during production.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to resolve design or scope issues.
• Translate project requirements into machine and shop-floor processes.
• Coordinate material requirements and monitor quantities.
• Order materials to support production schedules.
• Communicate with Project Management and shop staff to keep jobs moving.
• Identify and address potential production issues early.
