Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Burner Operator to ensure safe, efficient production by setting up, operating, and programming burner systems according to work orders. You will handle material processing, torch setup, CNC programming, and final packaging while maintaining high quality and safety standards on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities include processing work orders, material handling, and keeping work areas clean and organized to support timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to work assigned overtime, sometimes with short notice.
• Must pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all inspection tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate burner systems to produce quality products safely and efficiently.
• Review paperwork and work orders; prioritize orders for 2nd shift and special requirements.
• Locate materials and use material handling equipment; stage and prepare items for processing.
• Program CNC equipment per work order instructions and monitor progress on the line.
• Perform final processing steps: packaging, labeling, and meeting customer unloading requirements.
• Clean up scraps, move finished orders to staging, and support production efficiency and safety.
