Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a CNC Brake Press Operator in Omaha, NE for a first-shift, contract-to-hire role. You will set up and operate CNC brake presses, read blueprints, and ensure high-quality parts meet tolerances while following safety and quality procedures on a production floor.

The position offers the opportunity to contribute to a precision metal fabrication team with stable hours and a clear path to permanent employment, plus comprehensive onsite benefits. This role is fully onsite in Omaha.

Qualifications

• 6+ months hands-on experience as a press brake operator.
• Able to read blueprints and tolerances.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification.
• Detail-oriented with a strong quality focus.
• Follow SOPs and written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC brake press machines per work orders.
• Read blueprints and part specs to ensure accuracy.
• Produce parts to specification with focus on quality.
• Perform in-process quality checks with measuring tools.
• Track production quantities, scrap, and defects.
• Set up fabrication machinery and tooling as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals.
• Follow established processes for repeatable results.
• Take on additional duties to support operations.
