Job summary

Module X Solutions LLC in Shreveport, LA, seeks a Beam Line Operator to safely and efficiently operate beam processing equipment for structural steel fabrication. You will read drawings, load and unload beams, set up tooling, and monitor performance to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training in manufacturing, fabrication, or CNC equipment operation is a plus.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating fabrication, CNC, or structural steel processing equipment.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with CNC machine interfaces.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate beam line equipment to process structural steel components according to engineering drawings and work orders.
• Interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production schedules.
• Load, position, and unload steel beams using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
• Set up machine tooling and verify proper machine settings for drilling, cutting, coping, marking, and layout operations.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Inspect finished products to verify compliance with dimensional and quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication as required.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and quality concerns.
• Accurately record production data, material usage, and downtime information.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and safety.
