Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a CNC Beam Processing Operator in York, PA for a contract-to-hire role. Starting pay is $22.00 per hour with a $3.00 per hour second shift differential, depending on experience.

You will operate CNC coping and cutting equipment, read shop drawings, move materials with cranes and forklifts, and maintain safety and quality while supporting production schedules.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience.
• CNC coping or beam line experience strongly preferred.
• Structural steel fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience with CNC setup, tooling changes, and basic troubleshooting.
• Comfortable using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
• Experience working with overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are looking for a CNC Beam Processing Operator to run automated equipment used to cut and prepare structural steel beams, columns, channels, and other steel components. The role includes machine setup, material movement, part inspection, and production support.

• Set up and operate CNC coping and cutting equipment.
• Process structural steel beams, columns, channels, and related components.
• Read structural steel shop drawings, blueprints, and dimensions.
• Move steel using overhead cranes and forklifts.
