Job summary

Torch Technologies, a Huntsville, AL based defense contractor, is seeking a dependable CNC Band Saw Operator/Material & Delivery Driver to support manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will read engineering drawings, set up CNC band saws, and handle raw materials while making local deliveries. Must be mechanically inclined, organized, safety-conscious, and able to work independently. First-shift availability with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Associate Degree or 2 years technical training or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC band saws to cut material accurately per job requirements.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, work instructions and travelers.
• Measure material with tape measures, calipers, and other basic inspection tools.
• Load, unload, stage, and organize raw materials and finished parts.
• Maintain storage areas and assist with material control.
• Perform routine saw maintenance and keep a clean, safe work area.
• Make local deliveries and pickups of materials, parts, and supplies.
• Safely load, secure, and transport materials and finished parts.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
• Follow all quality and safety procedures.
