Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking an Applications Engineer to support our advanced CNC punching and bending equipment. This role blends hands-on machine work, customer training, and problem solving within a close-knit U.S.

team, with opportunities to expand knowledge into additional metal fabrication equipment. You will train operators, perform live demonstrations at the Elgin showroom, review drawings, and advise on tooling setups and feasibility while collaborating with sales and service teams to

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years in applications engineering, CNC punching, press brakes, bending, or related CNC equipment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tooling setups and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication skills for training customers with varying technical levels.

Responsibilities

• Train customer operators and programmers on CNC punching and bending equipment at customer facilities.
• Conduct live machine demonstrations and training sessions at the Elgin showroom.
• Review customer drawings and evaluate part feasibility and tooling setups.
• Perform time studies to estimate cycle times and demonstrate machine capabilities.
• Support customers through installation, startup, and early production using technical expertise.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to improve customer outcomes.
