Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an Applications Engineer to support CNC metal-cutting machines and automation systems from development through production readiness. You will evaluate customer applications, develop project-specific machining solutions, support machine programming, estimate costs, and provide training and ongoing technical support during installation and commissioning.

The role requires travel domestically and internationally and onsite work in the Albany, NY area, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressively responsible engineering or applications experience in CNC machining, machine tools, manufacturing, automation, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer parts, drawings, and specifications to develop CNC machining and automation solutions.
• Conduct applications engineering for CNC metal-cutting machines through programming, process development, and production support.
• Serve as the first user of newly developed machines and provide Voice of the Customer feedback to engineering teams.
• Develop machining processes addressing quality, accuracy, cycle time, throughput, reliability, and safety.
