Job summary

Wilson Tool International in White Bear Lake, MN seeks an Applications Engineer – CNC & Manufacturing Technology to provide expert programming support and technical guidance for advanced manufacturing solutions. You will train customers, troubleshoot applications, and help implement tooling technology across projects.

The role offers travel to customer sites, collaboration with OEM partners, and involvement in demonstrations and industry events.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
Engineering or manufacturing background strongly preferred.
Experience with CNC programming, sheet metal fabrication, automation, tooling, or manufacturing technology preferred.
Experience with CAD/CAM systems, machine programming platforms, or manufacturing software preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with customers and internal teams.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and support evolving technologies.

Responsibilities

Provide customer programming support for CNC manufacturing applications and related software platforms.
Provide technical applications support, troubleshooting, and process improvement recommendations to customers.
Deliver customer training on programming, tooling applications, and manufacturing processes.
Support machine training activities, including basic machine operation, setup, alignment, and troubleshooting.
Assist customers with successful implementation and utilization of manufacturing technologies.
Collaborate with OEM partners, software providers, and internal teams to support customer needs and resolve technical challenges.
Provide tooling training and technical guidance to customers.
Support customer demonstrations, industry trade shows, and technical events.
Maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication, technical expertise, and a solutions-focused approach.
Travel to customer locations as needed to support training, demonstrations, installations, and technical assistance.
