Job summary

Methods in Baltimore seeks an experienced Applications Engineer to drive CNC programming, setup, and customer support across the Mid-Atlantic region. You will work on on-site and remote projects, advancing machining processes and automation initiatives.

The role requires deep CNC knowledge, CAD/CAM proficiency, and the ability to train customers while collaborating with sales and engineering teams. Occasional overnight travel is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10 years hands-on CNC operation and programming experience.
Strong knowledge of CNC machines, tooling, and machining processes.
Ability to troubleshoot CNC equipment and provide remote/on-site support.
Experience with CAD/CAM and customer training.

Responsibilities

Provide technical application support and on-site service for CNC systems.
Set up, configure, and optimize CNC machines for customers.
Develop and refine CNC programs; troubleshoot software/hardware issues.
Train customers on CNC operations and maintenance.
Document procedures and support continuous improvement.
