Job summary

Yamazen Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to support machine tool sales, customer applications, demonstrations, and training.

The role acts as a technical bridge among customers, Sales, Service, Engineering, OEM partners, and regional leadership to ensure proper application, installation, and support of Yamazen machine tools. The engineer applies CNC machining, programming, tooling, and process-development knowledge to help customers evaluate and implement Yamazen equipment, with hands-on

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC machining experience in setup, operation, and programming.
• Proficient with CNC machining centers and turning centers.
• CAM programming experience; Mastercam preferred.
• Ability to read part prints and GD&T to meet tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Support machine tool sales with technical input during meetings and demonstrations.
• Review parts, tolerances, materials and production requirements for feasibility.
• Program, setup, and operate CNC centers and related equipment.
• Develop machining processes, tooling strategies and cycle-time estimates.
• Prepare demonstrations, test cuts, and customer training events.
• Coordinate with Sales, Service, and Engineering to match configurations.
• Assist with post-sale technical support, troubleshooting, and productivity improvements.
• Document processes, lessons learned, and best practices for internal use.
