Job summary

Trident Machine Tools is seeking a CNC Applications Engineer with Haas equipment expertise to support demonstrations, training, and process development. You will work hands-on with CNC milling and turning and collaborate with customers to improve productivity and reduce cycle times.

The role requires strong problem-solving, excellent communication, and 2–5 years of hands-on CNC experience, including Haas control. Travel to customer sites is expected as part of demonstrations and support.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• 2-5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Strong practical experience with Haas CNC.
• Proficiency in G-code programming; setup and operation of CNC machines; tool selection and process optimization.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (regionally 30-50%).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and process-related issues.
• Maintain technical knowledge of Haas control features, software updates, and new machine technologies.
• Train customers on machine operation, programming, work holding, tooling, and best practices.
• Develop and optimize CNC programs for Haas product offerings.
• Conduct customer machine demonstrations in the showroom.
• Support the sales team with technical evaluations, machine recommendations, and application reviews.
• Assist with machine runoff and acceptance testing.
• Travel to customer locations as needed to support demonstrations, training, and process development.
