Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with cutting tools, hand tools, gauges, and machining equipment.
• Basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, blueprints, and dimensional tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 5 lbs. continuously.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and semi-automatic machines to process carbon materials.
• Perform machining operations such as lapping, polishing, grinding, and tool grinding.
• Read blueprints, route sheets, drawings, and work instructions.
• Maintain tolerances as precise as 0.0001 inch.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and verify products meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and machining issues.
• Keep a clean and safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
