Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC and conventional machinery to produce precision components from carbon materials. You will read blueprints, maintain tight tolerances, and ensure quality and safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years of CNC machining experience, familiarity with cutting tools and precision gauges, and ability to read complex drawings and perform first-piece inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Familiar with cutting tools, hand tools, and precision measuring gauges.
• Knowledge of basic algebra and plane geometry applied to machining.
• Able to read moderately complex blueprints and tolerances.
• Capable of setting up and safely operating machinery in the department.
• Able to meet dimensional requirements of 0.0001 inch (four decimals).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of machine shop equipment for precision machining.
• Select and use cutting tools, including diamond grinding wheels.
• Apply algebra and geometry to perform machining calculations.
• Read blueprints and route sheets to meet specifications.
• Interpret tolerances and ensure dimensional accuracy to 0.0001 inch.
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify documentation.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and propose solutions.
• Plan simple machining projects and create basic jigs/fixtures.
• Inspect finished work for quality and conformance.
• Maintain responsibility for accuracy and conformance.
