Job summary

Patient First in Columbia, MD is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support clinical staff with patient transport, vital signs, and basic care tasks. This part-time role emphasizes teamwork and patient comfort.

The position requires at least a high school diploma, one year of clinical experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. CPR training may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum typing experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
• Willingness to work at any center due to staffing needs.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) by the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients, obtain vital signs by visual and auditory measures.
• Triage patients and prepare for exams with Physicians and Nurses.
• Assist Nurses and Physicians with patient care and treatments.
• Order lab, x-ray, and supplies as directed.
• Notify Nurse/Physician when patient is ready for exam; relay questions about labs or imaging.
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas and restock rooms.
• Operate EMR and medical equipment as trained.
• Attend staff meetings as scheduled.
