Job summary

Baywood Crossing Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a Transport Aide to safely move residents to medical appointments and dialysis sessions. Responsibilities include preparing residents, making beds when not transporting, and assisting residents in and out of chairs or wheelchairs.

You will report changes in orders or resident conditions promptly to the Nurse Supervisor. Candidates must hold a CNA or EMT credential, maintain a clean driving record, and communicate effectively in

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CNA certificate or EMT credential.
• Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record with no moving violations.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care during transport.
• Supports teamwork and can work cooperatively with staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for residents to and from appointments.
• Report changes in physician orders from appointments to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Report changes in resident condition during transport to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Prepare residents for appointments.
• Make beds (occupied and unoccupied) when not transporting residents.
• Assist residents into and out of chairs and wheelchairs.
