Job summary

Asante in Medford, OR is seeking a CNA/Unit Secretary to handle clerical and receptionist tasks on nursing units while facilitating information flow under the supervision of an RN. The role supports transcription of physicians’ orders and contributes to patient safety and satisfaction.

The position is 0.6 FTE (part-time) with a variable schedule, including evenings, and requires CNA certification in Oregon and BLS. Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology gained through education or experience in a healthcare setting.
• Previous CNA and/or clerical experience required.
• CNA certification by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) is required upon start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical, receptionist, and administrative support for the nursing unit.
• Facilitate workflow and communication; transcribe physician orders under RN supervision.
• Promote patient safety and comfort and contribute to patient satisfaction.
