Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care in Portland, OR is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a night shift in the Clinical Decision Unit to support RN staff.

You will measure vital signs, assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, and help with patient mobility using lifts. A CNA license in Oregon and BLS are required; one year of CNA experience is preferred.

Job description

Key Responsibilities Include

• Supporting a high-performing team and assisting RNs with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Measuring and recording vital signs, output, and weights
• Collecting specimens and performing fingerstick blood tests
• Assisting with patient mobility and transfers using lifts and safe handling devices
• Participating in continuing education and professional development activities
• Performing other assigned duties as needed

The CNA works under the direct supervision of an RN to deliver comprehensive nursing care.

Qualifications: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License and BLS from the American Heart Association are required. Preferably, candidates will have at least one year of CNA experience.
