Job summary

Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Unit Coordinator (CNA/UC) to join the unit-based patient care team. You will perform direct patient care including ADLs, vital signs, glucometry, EKGs, weights and intake/output data collection, while also handling indirect tasks like transport and restocking.

The role requires high school completion, BLS, and CNA licensure, with preference for Unit Secretary experience and orientation success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills needed to assist in providing patient care, good organizational skills, personal maturity, accuracy and flexibility.
• Previous knowledge of medical terminology, typing, computer skills and Unit Secretary experience preferred.
• Successful completion of orientation.
• Proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care tasks include activities of daily living, vital signs, glucometry, EKGs, weights and intake/output data collection.
• Indirect patient care includes transport, restocking and obtaining patient care supplies.
• Respond in a timely manner to patient and family needs and support unit efficiency.
• Perform clerical, receptionist and unit coordinating duties on patient care units.
