Job summary

PruittHealth Coastal Central is seeking a Transportation Aide / CNA to safely transport patients and residents to appointments, therapies, and activities. You will assist with transfers, provide CNA support, and maintain a clean, safe transport environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, CPR certification or ability to obtain, and a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR. Prior SNF or patient-transport experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain on hire.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVR check).
• 1 year of experience in skilled nursing, senior living, home health, or patient transportation.
• Familiarity with wheelchair lifts, securements, and mobility devices.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients safely.
• Excellent communication and service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients and residents to medical appointments and outings.
• Assist individuals entering and exiting vehicles using proper techniques.
• Provide hands-on CNA support including ADLs and ambulation as needed.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming environment during all transport interactions.
• Complete transportation logs, mileage documentation, and schedules accurately.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards for transport vehicles.
• Adhere to infection control, safety regulations, and policies.
• Collaborate with nursing and administrative teams to coordinate transport operations.
