Job summary

Sheridan Memorial Hospital in northern Wyoming is seeking a CNA to support basic nursing care and ADLs under RN supervision. You will help with communications, admissions, transfers, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. The role emphasizes patient comfort, privacy, and teamwork in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and good English communication. Central Registry is required; prior related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Minimum six months related work experience, preferred.
• Central Registry, required.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Demonstrated effective organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment under supervision.
• Record patient information in the hospital computer system.
• Greet and orient patients on admission and guide them as needed.
• Assist with transferring/transporting patients and belongings.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the nurse promptly.
• Respect patient privacy and HIPAA requirements.
• Attend departmental staff meetings and complete mandatory education.
