Job summary

Owen Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center offers a Nurse Aide Training Program that pays you as you learn to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). The program includes 30 hours of classroom time and 75 hours of hands-on clinical work to prepare you for the state certification test.

Qualifications

• Paid training program with potential CNA certification.
• 30 hours of classroom time.
• 75 hours of hands-on clinical work writing to CNA standards.
• Prepares you to take the state CNA certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving meals and nourishment to residents.
• Support personal hygiene and mobility including baths, showers and transfers.
• Assist with ambulation and positioning to maintain comfort and safety.
• Monitor residents' vital signs and record intake/output as directed.
• Respond to call bells and requests and report observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Document care activities and maintain accurate records.
• Protect privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and related laws.
• Follow professional standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

At Owen Valley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, our Nurse Aide Training program will provide person-centered care to our resdients while preparing you to earn your Certified Nurse Aide Certification.

Summary:

Our Nurse Aide Training program is a paid job opportunity that anyone can apply for to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA). We are in search of applicants who truly emobdy our culture and the passion of caring for other people. In this program, you will complete 30 hours of classroom time along with 75 hours of hands on clinical work to complete your training and prepare you to take the state certification test.

Essential Duties and Responsibitlies:

• Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Provide assistance in personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
• Provide assistance in ambulating, turning, and positioning residents.
• Maintain resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information.
• Provide for resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; answering call lights and requests; reporting observations of the residents to the nursing supervisor.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws.
• Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local requirements, including JCAHO standards, when applicable.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
