Job summary

Essentia Health is offering a no-cost Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program at the Northern Pines Care Center, with immediate income during training. This flex position (0.6-0.9 FTE) provides hands-on experience and a pathway to CNA certification, funded by the company.

Upon certification, compensation follows the Essentia Health CNA pay scale. As a CNA Trainee you will assist licensed staff with personal care, maintain a safe environment, help with meals and activities, support

Qualifications

• No education required to start; must successfully complete facility training courses.
• Able to document care activities accurately and timely.
• Able to observe residents and report changes to supervisors.
• Willingness to work with licensed professionals and direct care staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed professionals and direct care staff with personal care tasks per care plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents.
• Assist with meal setup, water service, and other basic personal care needs.
• Provide activities and exercise opportunities as assigned.
• Support residents with psychosocial needs and emotional well-being.
• Observe and promptly report changes in residents' conditions to supervisors.
