Job summary

Dignity Health - St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA is seeking a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to support patient care under RN direction.

You will perform basic nursing tasks, assist with hygiene, mobility, and transport, document care activities, and participate in the patient’s plan of care as part of the interdisciplinary team. BLS required; CA CNA certification required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required at hire.
• Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• Maintains CA CNA certification at hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

• Demonstrates basic patient care skills, including, but not limited to patient hygiene (bathing, grooming, oral and perineal care, back rubs). Measurement: Observation, Patient Care Documentation.

• Measures vital signs, weights, and measures I&O, accurately and within expected time frames. Measurement: Observation, Accuracy, Timeliness.

• Documents accurately on designated forms or in computer. Measurement: Observation, Patient Care Documentation, Accuracy.

• Ambulates, lifts, moves and transports patients within specified time frames. Measurement: Observation, Timeliness.

• Positions patients and performs range of motion exercises. Measurement: Observation, Accuracy.
