Job summary

Dignity Health - St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to support nursing staff with basic patient care under RN direction. The CNA will assist with hygiene, mobility, and documentation while contributing to the patient’s plan of care and comfort.

Required are a CA CNA license and BLS certification, with a commitment to high-quality, dignified care for all patients in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate General Studies required.
• Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• Certified Nursing Assistant: CA CNA license required.
• Basic Life Support - BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates basic patient care skills, including, but not limited to patient hygiene (bathing, grooming, oral and perineal care, back rubs).
• Measures vital signs, weights, and I/O within expected time frames.
• Documents accurately on designated forms or in computer.
• Ambulates, lifts, moves and transports patients within specified time frames.
• Positions patients and performs range of motion exercises.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.
