Job summary

Sapphire Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Brevard, NC, is seeking qualified CNAs to support our Memory Care Unit. You will provide daily resident care, assist with activities of daily living, and report changes to nursing staff. A valid NC CNA certification is required; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant certification from NC.
• Current/active CPR certification, preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Tend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to a nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.
• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with various duties as directed.
• Receive Education that is specific to dementia, alzheimers and various psychiatric disorders.

Shift Details:

All shifts available, 8 hour and 12 hour
