Job summary

Owenton Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a CNA Scheduler to assist with scheduling the Nursing Department staff. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, you will work closely with nursing supervisors to ensure an effective schedule that meets residents' needs and staffing requirements.

The role involves coordinating weekly schedules, communicating changes, handling scheduling calls, and supporting payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license is required.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules staff and prepares weekly nursing schedule.
• Notifies staff of schedule and necessary schedule changes.
• Receives incoming calls and directs appropriately to address nursing scheduling issues.
• Obtains permission from the Director of Nursing/Administrator prior to scheduling overtime or nursing registry personnel.
• Adjusts schedules as needed to accommodate changes, e.g., illness, vacation, PTO days.
• Collaborates with Nursing Administration daily to ensure adequate and appropriate staff is allocated.
• Assists nursing office with clinical management tasks as needed.
• Assists payroll manager with processing of weekly payroll and appropriate nursing hours.
