Job summary

Owenton Healthcare and Rehab is seeking a compassionate CNA to join our close-knit community in Kentucky. Join a team that values family-like atmosphere, flexibility, and resident-centered care.

Shifts available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with shift differentials and daily pay options. We offer quarterly raises up to 5.5% per year, tuition reimbursement, a comprehensive benefits package, 401K, and opportunities for internal growth.

Qualifications

• At least one year of CNA experience in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a current state CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.
• Record patient vital signs and assist with lifting, moving and transporting residents using proper body mechanics.
• Recognize and report changes in resident conditions to a nurse manager and ask clarifying questions.
• Communicate effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Report abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.
• Assist the nurse with duties as directed.

CNA's are responsible for the following:

• Attend to the individual needs of residents, including bathing, feeding, dressing, and ambulating.

• Responsible for taking and recording patient vital signs lifting, moving and transporting residents, using proper body mechanics.

• Recognizing and reporting changes in resident conditions to a nurse management. Asking appropriate questions to clarify situations.

• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.

• Reporting abnormal changes or patterns to nursing staff.

• Demonstrating the ability to assist the nurse with various duties as directed.

CNA Requirements:

• At least one year of experience as a CNA in a Long Term Care setting is highly preferred.

• Must possess and maintain a current state certification as a CNA
