Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide in-home care for clients across Salt Lake and Utah counties. You will work under direction of a Registered Nurse or Therapist to support personal comfort and well-being.

Reports to the Clinical Supervisor and may have no supervision responsibilities. The role emphasizes companionship, ADL support, and collaborative care planning with the client’s team.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Driver license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients per care plan.
• Assist with ADLs: bathing, meals, light housekeeping, safe transfers.
• Report changes in client condition to supervisor as outlined in care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the agency.
• Collaborate with client’s care team and communicate effectively.
• Promote client safety by infection control practices and reporting hazards.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance requirements.

Job Summary

Provides personal care services under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist, to clients in Salt Lake and Utah counties. The CNA is assigned to specific clients by the Registered Nurse or other appropriate professional who performs services for clients as necessary to maintain their personal comfort and well-being.

Reports To: Clinical Supervisor

Provides Supervision To: NA – No supervision responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients according to the care plan.
• Assist client with general Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, meals, light housekeeping and safe ambulation/transfers.
• Report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor as outlined in the care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s care team and ensure effective communication.
• Promote client safety by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of any educational needs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a formal certification training program and/or a written skills test and competency evaluation.
• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements and in good repair.
• Current CPR certification & TB test results
