Job summary

Right at Home Greater Jax is seeking compassionate CNAs and HHAs to join our caring team. You will provide in-home support with daily living activities, meal preparation, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, and medication reminders, helping clients maintain independence and comfort.

Qualifications

• CNA license or HHA certificate required.
• CPR certification required (in-person)
• TB or Chest X-ray required.
• Background check Level 2 Fingerprint.
• Auto Insurance and valid ID documents.
• 1 letter of recommendation requested.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities to assist with activities of daily living.
• Assists with ambulation and transfers.
• Dressing and shaving assistance.
• Prepares meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompanies patient to errands or medical appointments.
• Performs housekeeping tasks (vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, dishes, laundry, bathrooms).
• Provides hospice supportive care and medication reminders.
• Assists with exercises and mobility activities.
• Provides incontinence care and uses lifting equipment as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):Personal Hygiene

• Ambulation/Transfers

• Dressing/Shaving

• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions

• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments

• Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom

• Performs patient-specific activities. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Providing hospice supportive care

• Medication reminders

• Assisting with exercises

• Incontinence care

• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

Preferred Experience in:

• Hoyer lift

• Personal care

• Range of Motion Exercises

• Companionship

• Light cleaning

Requirements:

• CNA license or HHA Certificate

• Valid Driver License or State Photo ID

• Second form of ID (SSN, Passport, Voter's Registration, etc.)

• Auto Insurance

• CPR Card (cannot be an online class)

• TB or Chest X-ray

• Level 2 Fingerprint Background check

• Alzheimer's, HIV, and Assisting with medications CEU

• 1 letter of recommendation
