Job summary

Aegis Therapies is a national leader in rehabilitation and wellness and is hiring a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our Rehab Therapy Team at an Emporia, KS facility. This PRN role covers restorative CNA duties and wellness programming. You must have a current CNA certification and a high school diploma or equivalent.

A specialty certification as a personal trainer or fitness instructor is preferred. Experience with seniors is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor or similar area preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with the therapy team.
• Receive restorative training onsite.
• Assist in restorative care of patients as directed.
• Handle exclusive restorative tasks (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing) with limited other CNA duties.

Job Type: PRN - Covering for leave of absence until fall

Schedule: up to full time hours

Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care

Location: Emporia, KS

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
