Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Westminster, MD is seeking a Restorative CNA - Wellness Instructor to join the Rehab Therapy Team. This PRN role covers weekends and on-call hours with a pay rate of $19-$21 per hour, working within a skilled nursing facility and senior care setting.

The position focuses on delivering wellness, fitness, and exercise programs under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation, with restorative training provided onsite; CNA certification is required.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• Preferred specialty certification such as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor or health and fitness specialist.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, CNA Certification Required.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the "less desirable" tasks that often accompany a CNA position.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor For Restorative Care, You Will

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
