Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Restorative CNA - Wellness Instructor to join our Rehab Therapy Team in Killeen, TX. The role focuses on delivering wellness, fitness, and exercise programs within a skilled nursing setting.

CNA certification is required and wellness instruction experience is valued as you work with therapists to care for residents. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with onsite restorative responsibilities and opportunities for ongoing training, interdisciplinary collaboration, and

Qualifications

• CNA certification required; current CNA in state of practice.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor or similar is preferred.
• Experience delivering wellness/fitness programs in a care setting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness and exercise programs with the therapy team.
• Assist in restorative care of patients as directed.
• Provide exclusive restorative tasks (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care).
• Work under supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor For Restorative Care, You Will

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the "less desirable" tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
