Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Senior Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide experienced resident care in long-term care settings under the supervision of an RN. This full-time role requires current CNA certification and a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, mobility, and documenting care while upholding infection prevention policies. A sign-on bonus is available and benefits are provided for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16 and two years of clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing.
• Completes yearly competency testing and 12 hours CE annually.
• May complete Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
• May be registered with the UAP Registry in applicable states.
• Category II Driver status may apply with a valid license and driving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with daily living activities and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, ROM and range of motion.
• Document resident interactions and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and participate in committees.
• Assist with Restorative Nursing programs when required.
