Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision to ensure high quality resident care at all times.

The ideal candidate will have a CNA license, at least 6 months of CNA experience or clinical exposure, strong communication in English, and a compassionate, patient approach to residents and families in a supportive facility environment in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Have a license as a certified nursing assistant.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as CNA or clinical experience in CNA class.
• Sincere desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, and relate to residents at their current maturity level.
• Must be in good general health and emotionally stable.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as assigned per policies and procedures and safety rules.
• Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours to provide quality care.
• Verify resident ID before care or meals to ensure correct care.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator promptly.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with water and within reach.
• Other duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
