Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Yorktown, Virginia is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide quality care for residents at our community. You will assist with activities of daily living, encourage independence, and support residents’ participation in activities.

The role requires excellent communication, reliability, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays; you will document care, follow policies, and collaborate with the nursing team to ensure a safe, respectful

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs
• Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics
• Must be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge and a smile
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire
• Must be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
• Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
• Completes all other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Provides quality care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Reports incidents and documents appropriately.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Responds promptly to resident calls for assistance.
• Works with nursing staff and follows instructions.
• Assists new residents with move-in transition.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
