DEPARTMENT: Stan Jones Retirement Home

JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Nursing Assistant will act as a resident aide and provide high-quality patient-centered care for the elderly in the Tulalip Tribes assisted living facility. This position requires a passion for working with older adults, a strong sense of empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to create a safe, supportive and comfortable environment for our residents. Will be responsible for the personal care, safety and welfare of Retirement Home residents. Monitoring residents’ hourly and completing all duties on daily shift check list, and document all activities and incidents on daily report and incident reports.

The CNA will provide residents with primary, acute care, scheduling appointments, specialty appointments, and obtain vital signs. Will act as patient advocate as well as support the Resident Aide team. Will perform job duties as instructed by the Administrator and duties for needed for the Stan Jones Retirement Home.

COMPENSATION: $23.25 hr.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program.

MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE

• One (1) year of related experience.
• Six (6) months of experience in a clinical setting as a graduate of an accredited program.
• Six (6) months of experience using Electronic Health Records program preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES

• WA State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
• Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations. (Abstract Required)
• Registered CNA through the WA Department of Health (DOH).
• Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray prior.
• CPR/BLS certificate.
• Food Handlers permit.
• Dementia Specialty Certificate. *Will allow Ninety (90) days to obtain.
• Developmental Disabilities Certificate. *Will allow ninety (90) days to obtain.
• Nurse Delegation Certificate. *Will allow one (1) year to obtain.
• Nurse Delegation Diabetes Certificate. *Will allow one (1) year to obtain.
• HIPAA certification upon hire.
• Must abide by departments vaccination policy and will need to provide immunization records.
• Must complete a Tulalip Health System pre-onboarding credentialing prior to start date.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
