The role involves overseeing placement operations, supervising staff, documenting activities, and coordinating with social workers and partners to ensure placement stability and high-quality support for children, kinship, and foster families.

Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY: The Lead Placement Specialist will supervise the Placement team and lead the delivery of culturally grounded placement, caregiver support, and youth support services in accordance with Tulalip Tribal Code, departmental policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and applicable grant and contract requirements, including the DCYF Caregiver Support Agreement.

This position supports high-quality services for Tulalip children and youth in kinship, relatives, foster, and licensed foster placements, as well as the caregivers who support them. Provide operational oversight of placement, caregiver support, case aid, transportation, visitation, respite, documentation, case noting, and related placement services. The position will supervise placement staff, monitors service provided. Documentation, billing, reporting, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with Social Workers, Tribal programs, caregivers, and community partners to promote placement stability and caregiver support. The Lead Placement Specialist may perform direct placement duties as needed to support staff coverage, emergencies, complex situations, or continuity of services.


May supervise qʷuliʔɬ and oversee foster home licensing activities and related program operations.


COMPENSATION: $33.27 hr.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION


  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Behavioral Health, or a related field.

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred.


MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE


  • Two (2) years of professional experience working in child welfare, placement, caregiver support, foster care, family support, or related field.

  • Two (2) years of computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.

  • One (1) year of experience with supervisory responsibilities, developing and building teams.

  • Experience using a case management or document management systems such as Hemaiya.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES


  • WA State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance)

  • Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Abstract Required)

  • CPR/First Aid Certificate.

  • Mandated Reporter Training. *Will allow six (6) months to obtain.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a contracted position.
