Job summary

Avita is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) for per diem shifts. 1st shift 6a-230p with shift differential; 2nd shift 2p-1030p with differential. Per diem staff must work at least 16 weekend hours per month and one major holiday.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of state competency exam for CNA certification or PSS.
• Ability to move and assist residents.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Genuine care and empathy for residents' well-being.
• Accurate recording of resident information and vital signs.
• Work well with healthcare professionals as part of Wellness team.
• Follow ethical standards and keep resident information private.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Serve meals and ensure proper nutrition per dietary guidelines.
• Manage laundry efficiently to keep residents comfortable.
• Address residents' needs quickly and with empathy.
• Collaborate with care professionals to keep the team effective.
• Document observations and updates on residents' conditions.
• Follow safety and infection control rules to protect residents.
