Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a CNA/Nursing Assistant for the Preop/PACU unit in Omaha. You will assist with standard patient activities and support the plan of care under licensed nursing staff in a fast-paced surgical environment.

The position requires a Nebraska CNA certification, BLS within 30 days of hire, and strong communication skills. Evening/2nd shift options and opportunities for education support are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 years.
• Nebraska CNA certification required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA-endorsed).
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Medication Aide cert and Injectables course may be required after hire in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient activities to support the plan of care.
• Care for a diverse surgical patient population in Preop/PACU.
• Collaborate with licensed nursing staff in a fast-paced setting.
