Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Omaha is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, high-quality care in a 12-hour day shift environment in Omaha, NE. The role includes assisting with bathing, mobility, and daily activities, and supporting a dedicated care team.

You will perform rounds, transport patients, maintain clean rooms and equipment, and contribute to a supportive patient experience, with a pathway for growth and ongoing orientation.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as CNA or equivalent.
• Strong patient-care skills and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less techniques and assisting with oral care.
• Assist in hourly rounds and transport patients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment, and restock supplies.

Compensation: $20.51-25.00 per hour
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000 for Full-time

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
