Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Omaha is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Omaha, NE. The PRN/Per Diem position offers 12-hour shifts with Day and Night options and a $23.00/hour compensation.

As a critical illness recovery hospital, we emphasize compassionate care, patient safety, and teamwork. New hires can expect extensive orientation and opportunities for advancement within a large, dedicated staff. BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required; 3+ years of related healthcare experience preferred.
• Hospital experience as CNA or related field required; CNA certification preferred or actively enrolled RN student.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Perform hourly rounds and transport patients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and patient rooms and restock supplies.
• Support patient transfers and maintain a safe, clean environment.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
