Job summary

Garden City Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the PM shift to provide routine daily nursing care to residents under licensed supervision. The role emphasizes resident-centered care in a supportive SNF environment.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license in California.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report all changes in residents' conditions to the Charge Nurse or Nurse Supervisor promptly
• Accurately document care provided in flow sheets, charts, and notes
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs (TPRs) and weights as instructed
• Monitor residents to ensure comfort, safety, and personal care needs are met
• Record food and fluid intake and report changes in appetite
• Participate in shift reports and hand-offs
• Assist with restorative and rehabilitative care as directed
• Maintain a calm, resident-centered environment
• Cooperate with nursing staff and other departments to ensure quality care
• Perform additional duties as assigned

General Purpose

The primary purpose of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is to provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with each resident’s assessment, care plan, and facility policies, under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
