PruittHealth is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant - Phlebotomist to provide daily nursing care and perform phlebotomy in a skilled care environment. You will support patient assessment, follow care plans, and assist in coordinating lab related tasks with the nursing and lab teams.

The role requires 1 year of phlebotomy experience with geriatrics, a valid CNA license, and a phlebotomy training program. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved phlebotomy training program.
• Active CNA certification in the appropriate state.
• Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience with geriatrics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine nursing care according to the patient plan and CNA duties.
• Conduct phlebotomy procedures accurately and promptly.
• Identify patients correctly to prevent treatment errors.
• Collect blood samples from patients, mainly older adults.
• Process specimens and coordinate with the lab on orders and charges.
• Maintain infection control practices and a clean work area.
• Document information correctly and communicate with patients courteously.
• Order and maintain laboratory supplies.
• Comply with OSHA, CLIA, and federal regulations.
• Integrate with the lab manager on related issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Support team and work in a compliant manner with safety protocols.
• Adhere to safety procedures when using equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
