Job summary

Valley Health seeks a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for the Nursing Float position (Per Diem) at Winchester area facilities. Under RN/LPN supervision, you perform routine personal care, maintain safety, and support patient-focused care at Winchester Rehabilitation Center and Winchester Medical Center.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. CNA registry in VA/WV required; BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required before orientation completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Registry as Certified Nurse Aide required in VA/WV based on work location.
• BLS Certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) required.
• Must understand basic principles of human growth and development.
• Must interact competently with patients per age-specific needs.
• Reliable phone communication with hospital.
• Annual flu vaccination may be required in Long-Term Care areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine personal care duties for patients under RN/LPN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment and report problems.
• May act as a preceptor after gaining experience.

Education
