Job summary

Living Center at Geneva South is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support licensed nursing staff in providing direct and indirect resident care in a long-term care setting in New York.

RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY: Under the direction of the licensed nursing personnel, performs direct and indirect designated resident care within the scope of practice as defined by the certification.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• Minimum: Must be able to read and write English
• Preferred: High school degree or GED

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

• Minimum: Current New York State Nurse Aide Certification.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Preferred: Prior Nursing Assistant and/or LTC experience

SKILLS:

• Minimum: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
• Minimum: Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
• Minimum: Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
