Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our patient care team. The CNA will support nurses in delivering high-quality care, collect patient data, and assist with activities of daily living under supervision.

Strong teamwork and safety practices are essential to ensure patient comfort and outcomes. The role requires a PA CNA certification or active nursing student, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• Nurse aide provides quality patient care under RN supervision.
• CNA certificate or current student status in an accredited nursing program required.
• HS diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive shift report from RN at start and report at end of shift.
• Report any abnormalities to RN and oncoming staff.
• Assist with data collection: vital signs, height/weight, intake/output.
• Support patient goals and care planning with RN guidance.
• Follow infection control practices and patient safety protocols.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and mobility.
• Document observations and communicate timely to the care team.
