Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide safe, patient-centered care under the direction of the registered nurse or physician on the assigned unit. The role supports an organizational culture of Service Excellence and collaborates with the Nursing Team.

Preferred experience in an acute care setting. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, be able to pass pre-employment assessments, and have BLS upon hire with the ability to maintain it.

Qualifications

• Prefer experience in an acute care setting.
• Must pass pre-employment assessments required by the facility.
• Completion of first semester at a minimum; BLS on hire and keep current.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent patient-centered care under RN or physician direction.
• Participates as an active member of the Nursing Team on the unit.
• Supports Service Excellence standards to all customer groups.
