About the Role:

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) plays a critical role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients within healthcare and social assistance settings. This position is primarily responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. The CNA works closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly. By providing essential support in hygiene, mobility, and nutrition, the CNA contributes significantly to the overall well‑being and recovery of patients. This role demands a strong commitment to patient‑centered care, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current and valid CNA certification in Texas.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state‑approved nurse assistant training program.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, reporting any abnormalities to nursing staff.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including helping patients move safely within their environment and supporting physical therapy exercises as directed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by following infection control protocols and hospital policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.
