Job summary

PVH Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, WV is seeking a CNA/Patient Care Tech for Med Surg on the day shift. You will provide direct patient care under licensed nurses, assist with admissions, vitals, hygiene and comfort, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Requires a high school diploma, BLS within 30 days, and Nurse's Aide Certification in WV/OH/PA/MD. Prior patient care experience is preferred; strong communication and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Current Nurse's Aide Certification: WV, OH, PA, or MD as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report patient concerns/changes in condition to Nursing Staff.
• Assist Nursing Staff with admissions, transfers, discharges and general patient care duties.
• Record vital signs and monitor temperature and blood pressure; assist with hygiene and comfort.
• Record oral intake and outputs; assist in nutrition and feeding as needed.
• Assist in specimen collection and other patient care activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment to prevent infections and ensure safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
• Report equipment repairs and malfunctions to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Prepare patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
